Representing the parliament of producers for the first time, Kristina Reddaway

What TheFARM thinks?

- New to the industry she withstands anything thrown at her

- Maintained a positive mindset during a sometimes tough project

- A superb effort in learning a lot of new things whilst dealing with a large client

- Her communication as a producer is some of the best I’ve had at TheFARM

Attic Living

[July 2009] TheFARM launches a site rebuild for Attic Living incorporating brand new design, additional functionality and a clear call to action. Through the rebuild TheFARM contributed to encompassing the business' 3 core services under their strong brand identity, creating a solid 'one-stop-shop' for Attic storage and conversion needs.

Built using the Pegboard CMS the site is compromised of components (or modules) including the introduction of the e-commerce facility. Allowing users to buy products online coupled with demonstration videos enhanced the DIY character of the company. Alternatively the clear call to action to Book a Consultation online reinforces Attic Living's position as leading experts in the field.

WiggleTime Update - Preloaders & Wags' Digging for Bones

[June 2009] The first of many updates to be made to WiggleTime.com over TheFARM's ongoing relationship with The Wiggles has been launched!

Following the initial launch of WiggleTime.com in April 2009, new interactive preloaders and an additional game have been developed enabling preschool children to explore, play and learn with the use of familiar Wiggles themes, destinations and characters.

The music bubble preloader is designed to keep children engaged whilst the virtual world is loading. Users can click on the coloured lines to add different musical notes and hear the sequence play back.

Wags' Digging for Bones game requires children to instruct Wags the Dog to dig up bones in the yard with the objective of finding pairs with matching coloured ribbons. If a wrong pair is revealed Wags covers up the bones and encourages children to try again, testing their memory.

As with each game played on WiggleTime.com it contains cognitive, physical and social elements to help benefit the pre-schooler. This game primarily develops cognitive skills through the key competency of memory and matching which can be tracked by Parents through the existing Child Reporting component.

An exciting addition to the wonder of WiggleTime! Let's get Wiggling!!!

The FARM adds a nail to the coffin of IE 6

Days until TheFARM drops support for IE6

We are happy to announce that we will cease to support IE 6 development from Oct 31 2009. We will continue to support our clients’ existing websites but any new development will target Firefox 2+, IE 7+, and Web kit browsers (e.g. Safari, Chrome).

IE 6 was released in Aug 2001, it is 8 years old and 2 more browsers have since been released from Microsoft… it’s about time people stop using this horrible, horrible browser. Other larger players including YouTube have also stated that support for IE 6 will stop. We’re hoping that more agencies will adopt this idea and push for clients to finally make the upgrade or switch to a new browser… it’s 8 years old!

Comments are always welcome!

Warner Home Video - Like? Love!

[July 2009] TheFARM are pleased to announce the launch of Warner Home Videos new TV to DVD microsite, Like? Love!

The site is hinged on the primary concept of like/love - 'if you like this show, you'll love this one' mapping a comprehensive matrix of recommendations and related products. As TheFARM's first full Facebook Connect integration, the site also encourages interaction with the like/love concept allowing users to post reviews and share easily through their Facebook account, also driving membership back to Like? Love!

Members have access to reviews, their wish list, competitions and a forum in addition to the extensive use of TV show trailers across the site.

With high frequency promotion rotation the visually rich site design continues to expand as new promotions and releases are heroed on the home page. Check it out and tell the world what you Like? Love!

HOT PRESS 10.7.09

It was only a matter of time before an iPhone app came to the rescue of those who stand at a bar, paralysed by choice when the barman asks: ‘what can I get you?’
Drinkspiration is an iPhone app from Swedish vodka brand Absolut which offers advice on which drink to enjoy based on users’ location, the time of day, the weather and even the atmosphere in the bar. It offers recommendations based on vodka, gin, rum, brandy, whisky and tequila, and recipes for cocktails are included in the free-to-download app.
The app also uses GPS, social media and user behaviour to display the world’s most popular cocktails in a live Top List feed.

Marmite and Marstons bitter have teamed up in the UK to bring not only a limited edition flavour to support their association with cricket, but also a song to cheer on the England lads in their bid to wrestle the ashes away from us Vegemite-munching Aussies. In the UK, Penguin is engaging younger consumers in the art of story-telling with a beautifully designed interactive site where they can read each other’s tales.
