Make a date with Moccona.

Over the last few weeks we have been working on a new Facebook campaign for Moccona.

The idea is “Fall in Love With Coffee Again” and for the next couple of moths that’s what we want our Facebook fans to do.

Each week, an RSVP style relationship profile will be released that relates to each of the Moccona ranges.

We’re also giving away 25 jars of Moccona per week for 8 weeks, to encourage people to tell us what blend they love most.

We’ve launched with the profile for Moccona Classic -  which is listed as the coffee with a strong body that will lift you when you need it.

Under the influence

Very inspiring FARMwatch today, with the video series The Influencers.

53043_138059582912825_118549218197195_212212_7398153_o

It’s a short documentary that looks at what an influencer is, and how trends and creativity move from one person, through early adapter and into the mainstream.

In the words of R+I Creative (the writers/directors/producers) “The film attempts to understand the essence of influence, what makes a person influential without taking a statistical or metric approach.”

It also talks of how this is used, or sometime manipulated in advertising.

We also watched the first in their Influencers In-Depth Series, an interview with Steve Stoute who hooks big name music artists up with brands and hopefully makes marketing heaven.

We all wanted to be a little bit cooler after this. Live on the Lower East Side. Wear more scarves.

FARMwatch

Today we started a weekly initiative, called FARMwatch. It’s basically an excuse to get together over lunch and watch some of the web content that we would usually just email around the office.

We’re already working on a few branded content projects for our clients, and it’s going to be a huge growth area for agencies like TheFARM in the future, which is very exciting, especially for the FARMers who majored in film and TV studies (quite a few in fact).

Today we watched Ads Worth Spreading, courtesy of TED.com. TED put the call out for advertising that people wanted to watch, rather than the stuff that is just forced down our throats while we are enjoying editorial content. It’s not always possible to create something that is so interesting that it  requires not only watching, but sharing – however, it’s what we should always be striving for.

Here are their top ten

Working like a coffee machine…

Hot off the heels of our first iPhone app, comes a Facebook App for Harris Coffee.

The ‘Are You A Coffee Expert’ Quiz sits in the new Harris Coffee Facebook page, and it’s the first big piece of work we have done for Harris after winning the business late last year. They wanted to do an education piece, so we thought, why not pit coffee connoisseurs against each other? Maybe it’s my Melbourne heritage that makes me happy to get a perfect score, even though I wrote all the questions.

Will you fare so well? Give it try
